Earlier this week, the Catholic Women's League of Australia launched their dynamic website (athttp://www.cwla.org.au) to help bring the light of the Gospel to a wider audience and to contribute to the transformation of our culture into a civilisation of life and love. In response to the Holy Father’s invitation to "…join the network of relationships which the digital era has made possible…", they have also recently launched the CWLA YouTube Channel which you can find at http://www.youtube.com/ user/CWLAustralia.

Important document released at the UN

On October 6, 2011, an expert document was issued at United Nations, New York:

the San José Articles.

The San Jose Articles provide expert testimony that there is no such thing as an ‘international right to abortion’,  contrary to what UN personnel and others say and many people think.  This document provides us with a tool to help us refute these claims and to assert the rights of the unborn child in international law.

See: http://www.sanjosearticles.com/ and diffuse this information widely to your members, organisations and governments.

As the New Year begins, the Holy Father, in his address to the Diplomatic Corps January 10th, deplored the many challenges of the Christians all over the world struggling for their religious freedom.

He also stated: "Acknowledging religious freedom also means ensuring that religious communities can operate freely in society through initiatives in the social, charitable or educational sectors” and "another attack on the religious freedom of families in certain European countries which mandate obligatory participation in courses of sexual or civic education which allegedly convey a neutral conception of the person and of life, yet in fact reflect an anthropology opposed to faith and to right reason.”
